Kenmore Family Medicine is continually monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and following the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), New York State Department of Health and Erie County Department of Health.
While still providing needed care, we are working with our public health partners to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community and keep our patients and team safe
If you need care, please call the office 875-6700. Our triage nurses will work with you and your provider to determine what type of appointment is right for you. We are now offering telemedicine services. Appointments can be conducted through video or phone calls. For certain cases, an in-person visit may be required.
If an in-person visit is determined, please see below how we are safeguarding our office:
- Screening patients before appointments and before entering the facility
- Increased cleaning frequency of high-touch surfaces
- Hand sanitizer and tissues available in all main areas
- Continually updating our employees on new protocols and procedures
- Encouraging social distancing of at least 6’ feet between all patients and team member
At this time we are still closed for all routine visits and physicals. This will also include any routine immunizations for adults. We will have a limited staff to address urgent non-respiratory related appointments. Please consider using our online portal for E-Visits that are available. It is an easy way to communicate with the providers. Please call our office and we will provide you with an activation code.
At Kenmore Family Medicine, we are looking for new ways to deliver care to our patients that allow them to stay safe during the COVID-19 situation. We are now offering video visits as an alternate way to receive care if you cannot come into the office, or if you do not feel comfortable coming in for your appointment.

I have an upcoming appointment, and I would like to to change this to a video appointment so I don’t have to come into the office. How do I convert my in-office visit to video?
If you are interested in converting an in-office visit to a video visit, simply call your doctor’s office so they can determine whether your appointment type would be eligible, and get you scheduled for a video appointment.
Are the video appointments free?
The video appointments are not free, as we are still providing medical care, we’re just using a different delivery method to provide you with the care. That being said, preventative appointments, like an Annual Wellness Visit (AWV), will be no charge to you, the same as it would be if you were in the office.
How much will I be charged for my video appointment?
The amount you will be charge will vary on your insurance, and appointment type. Think of this video visit the same as being in the office for an appointment.
What appointment types are eligible for a video visit?

- Acute sick visits
- Routine follow-ups
- Hospital follow up appointment

We are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting every exam room and all surfaces between every patient.
For your safety, as well as that of other patients and staff, if you :
- Have traveled internationally in the last month
- Have been in close contact with anyone with coronavirus infection
- are experiencing fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath, we ask that you observe the following guidelines:
Remain at home and limit contact other individuals, including family members. Contact us immediately by telephone at 716.875 6700, or send a secure message or request an e-visit in your patient portal to discuss the best course of treatment for your symptoms.
If you have a routine scheduled appointment for any other health related matter, and are experiencing the above symptoms, you should similarly remain at home and limit contact with other individuals including family members. Contact us immediately by telephone at 716.875 6700 to cancel your appointment and send a secure message to your provider for an alternative treatment plan. An e-visit may be an option for you based on the advice of your provider.
- We are unable to perform testing for coronavirus in our office. If you are worried about coronavirus DO NOT COME TO THE OFFICE! If you call us we may be able to arrange for a test.
